Family policies

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

When to keep your child home

A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they feel well. If a child gets sick at school, we call you to pick them up and a teacher stays close until you arrive.

Drop-off and pickup

Children go home only with the adults you listed when you enrolled. We ask for ID at the door from anyone we don't know.

Late pickup

If you will be late, call or text the school. A teacher stays with your child until you arrive. What happens if it repeats is explained when you enroll.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Morning children have a simple snack, and school-day children bring lunch from home. We ask families not to send nuts. If your child has allergies, tell us at the tour; we ask for the details privately once you enroll.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close for school holidays and the winter break. When a storm closes the school, we text families before they leave home.

What to wear and bring

Clothes that can get messy, shoes that are easy to run in and a change of clothes in the backpack. School-day children also bring a small rest blanket.

Absences and late arrival

Call or text the school when your child will be out. If you will be late, let us know so a teacher can be at the door.

Leaving the program

We ask for a month's written notice, in person or through the form.
